About the Foundation

The SOS Talents Foundation, established by Michel Sogny in 2000, aims to support young, gifted pianists by nurturing their talent and creativity through Sogny's innovative teaching methods.

Educational Approach:
The foundation's educational framework is based on two primary components:

1. Prolégomènes à une Eidétique Musicale:

This initial phase consists of didactic pieces that foster the creative imagination of young performers. These pieces immerse students in a complex sound universe that challenges their senses and consciousness, gradually enhancing their musical sensitivity and mastery of touch.

2. Cycle of Piano Studies:

The second phase integrates musical aesthetics with educational effectiveness, providing students with the freedom to progressively assimilate pianistic techniques while honing their artistic expression.

Support and Opportunities

The SOS Talents Foundation serves as a vital springboard for young musicians, propelling them into the public eye. Sometime it offers scholarships and supports preparation for international competitions, benefiting young talents from various countries.

Visibility and Achievements

The foundation organizes numerous Gala Concerts, significantly enhancing the visibility of its young musicians. These performances have been broadcast on prominent channels such as Mezzo TV, Radio Classique, Espace 2, TV5, Euronews, and LCI, Georgian Television and Lithuanian National Radio and Television. The foundation awarded a special SOS Talents prize to the youngest finalist of the “Queen Elisabeth of Belgium” International Competition, as well as at the Batumi Music & Art Festival in Georgia. A significant highlight for the foundation’s young laureates was their performance at the Nobel Peace Prize Summit in Warsaw in November 2013.

Support from the Dassault Family

The Foundation receives substantial support from the Dassault family, who host an annual Gala evening at the Hôtel Marcel Dassault in Paris to benefit the Foundation SOS Talents.
