Ilia Lomtatidze

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, Ilia Lomtatidze began playing piano at the age of 8 and immediately follows Michel Sogny’s famous Piano Method. Supported by Lyra Charity Foundation in Georgia he became very soon one of the most successful Prizewinner and got scholarship of the Foundation SOS Talents- Michel Sogny. Several times he participated at the Gala of the Foundation SOS Talents in Paris at Hotel Marcel Dassault broadcasted by Mezzo TV diffused in 50 countries as well as TV 5 Monde in 200 countries.

In 2015 Ilia won the First Prize at the International Piano Competition – “Astana Piano Passion”, and also was the only participant to receive special prize from the President of Kazakhstan, Mr. Nursultan Nazarbaev.

As one of the brightest young generation pianists, Ilia was invited to perform in several international festivals with orchestra and recital program. He performed as a soloist at Astana Opera Concert Hall, “Sochi International Festival” as well at the Festival of “Stars of Baikal”.

IIia also performed with Kaunas Symphonic Orchestra in Latvia, Festival d’Auvers sur Oise and Annecy Classic in France and Batumi Music and Art Festival in Georgia.

He also performed an exclusive concert in the United Nations Concert Hall in Geneva.

In June of 2019 he won a First Prize at the Manchester International Competition performing Rachmaninov Concerto N2 with Orchestra.

His passion for piano, devotion and personal charisma always touches music lovers and audience during his performance on the stage.
